Lowend presents famed Porsche photographer Bart Kuykens at Midwest Performance Cars on March 23rd at 6pm. Kuykens is making his first ever stop in Chicago (March 21st - 24th) as part of his national photography tour and will be signing, The Essential Love Affair, at MPC. Books will be available for purchase. Meet, greet and be sure to drive your Porsche to Fulton Market.

Kuykens has limited shoot availability, reach out to us for all inquiries.

Lowend Takeover: The #CarParty at Alpha Garage

Saturday evening April 30th, Lowend Garage Chicago is creating our first ever #carparty. After an eventful 2021, unveiling our concepts like the 'Guest Spots' being part of Hagerty's CARnivale, and another successful Checkeditout, we are starting the 2022 driving season in style. What is a car party? A car party breaks out after any rallye or drive, if you are with the right people. An impromptu party, but this time we are cutting right to the sweet spot, arrive at Alpha Garage and let the festivities begin.

Music, food and being surrounded by some of the best cars in Chicago, along with the coolest people.

2021 Drive to the Rock

  Have you heard of the Rock? Did you know that the first American auto race was held in Chicago on Thanksgiving Day in 1865? To commemorate the race the American Autosport Centennial Committee commissioned ‘The Rock’ in 1995 to mark the start and finish of the race in Jackson Park. Six cars entered the race, four gasoline powered and two electric, which took them North to Evanston and back. Internal combustion driver J. Frank Duryea won the race in 7 hours and 53 minutes. That’s really cookin’!

Cars and Coffee Oak Park have been doing their own drive to the Rock on Thanksgiving Day. We were lucky enough to join them on last year’s run.  Sign up to join us this for year’s Drive to the Rock. Our morning starts promptly at 7:45 am (1026 North Blvd Oak Park, IL 60301). Due to the Rock's relocation during Obama Library construction, we will drive to an alternate location: the Museum of Science and Industry SOUTH Lot. 1800 Columbia Dr Chicago, IL 60637. The drive concludes at 10:30 am.
